Push over
The push-over method involves pallet exchanges in which the load is secured on three sides and moved by a frame from the source pallet to a lower destination pallet. This prevents the load from rotating or tilting, making this method one of the gentlest for the goods. It also works well with partial loads and in situations where high process repeatability is essential. Baust reports a throughput of up to 60 exchanges per hour (depending on the configuration). If the device is operated free-standing, the load on the new pallet can be immediately picked up by a forklift. When used as part of a line, the load can be further transported, for example, by a roller conveyor. When does this method make the most sense?
- Sensitive goods where you want to avoid load rotation,
- Incomplete/unstable loads that are difficult to safely rotate,
- Processes where efficiency and repeatability of carrier exchange are important.
